Chiswick Park -
Charles Meloy with Richard Rogers Partnership (now RSHP)
Upon graduating Charles rejoined the practice where he had worked as a year out student on the 88 Wood Street, the Stirling Prize nominated office building in the city.
He was part of the team responsible for delivering the new business park in Chiswick, West London which created a new socially aware model for the urban business park.
The masterplan proposed 12 buildings around a centrally landscaped area with all parking and deliveries omitted to the periphery of the site. The buildings are component driven with their construction maximising off site prefabrication to ensure the highest quality whilst remaining economical.
Heavily involved in the construction of Phase 1 Charles then undertook the planning and design development for phases 2 & 3.
